ABOUT US
In an old farmhouse near Villefranche-du-Périgord and Monpazier we, Pascale and Roland, are very pleased to welcome you. To escape from daily stress and frustrated in Belgium, we have realized our dream to live in rural areas in the South-West of France. We have been living here since the end of 2017 and continue to build our lives here in the beautiful Dordogne. This region is rich in predominantly prehistoric sites and tempts lovers of architecture and untouched landscapes as well as amateurs of active holidays. With his four Périgords; le noir, vert, blanc et purpre, the Dordogne has many advantages.
Here in the south of the Dordogne, in the black Périgord, you will find our old farm in the middle of woods, fields and meadows. Around a central courtyard are the large house where we live, a covered barn, large barn, pigeon tower and 2 separate cottages, La Bergerie & L 'Ecurie which we rent out as self-catering gites. You can also laze by the pool and enjoy the garden and nature from the terrace. Around the farm you only see fauna & flora which makes this location exceptionally beautiful and peaceful. Silence is still normal here.
This is a region for the cultural (castles, caves ...) and culinary (wine, truffles, mushrooms, chestnuts, foie gras ...) lovers. Located between 2 known wine regions, the white wine of Bergerac and the black wine of Cahors , this is a region where many lovers can pick up their hearts. Also sporty types find their liking on the marked routes that leave around the gites, both on foot and by bike.

La Bergerie
La Bergerie is an independent gite / studio (20m2) with separate access via the yard. This gite / studio has a room with box spring bed (160x200) and kitchenette and a bathroom with toilet & shower. For the cottage you have a private terrace (19m2) with table, chairs and BBQ. You can use the swimming pool and sun terrace, lounge chairs with cushions and parasols. You are also welcome at the long table in the covered barn to eat, drink or just for a nice chat.

L' Ecurie
L 'Ecurie is an independent self-catering cottage (30m2) with separate access via the yard. This gite has a kitchenette on the ground floor and a bathroom with toilet and shower. Via a steep staircase you enter the bedroom with box spring (160x200). Next to the gite you have a small private terrace (12m2) with table, chairs and BBQ. You can use the swimming pool and sun terrace, lounge chairs with cushions and parasols. You are also welcome at the long table in the covered barn to eat, drink or just for a nice chat.

Culture
The Dordogne department: land of a thousand and one castles and prehistoric caves such as ao. the caves of Lascaux.
Monpazier, Villefranche-du-Périgord, Rocamadour, Saint-Cirq-Lapopie are some of the "Les plus beaux villages de France".
Markets
Enjoying the terrace of a Ricard or Pastis, with a coffee and croissant watching the passersby. The flea markets such as a video grenier are certainly worth a visit.
Sports & Adventure
From hiking, horse riding, cycling or mountain biking in the hilly region between the woods and the meadows and villages to quiet on the beautiful river "Dordogne" canoeing or throwing a fishing line. For the more adventurous vacationer you will find the possibility of quad biking, paitball / airsoft, karting, etc ....
Practical
At a short distance (7 km) you will find bakers, a butcher and 2 small food stores. In the surrounding towns you can choose from many restaurants, local markets, etc. At about 20 km you will find the large supermarkets with petrol stations.
